Dieter Rams

Filmmaker Gary Hustwit, who made a trilogy of design films (Helvetica, Objectified, Urbanized), recently announced his latest project “Rams,” a documentary profile of the the designer, on Kickstarter. The film recently crossed over the $200,000 threshold, meaning it has been successfully funded, and still has about another week to go before the fundraising ends. Quartz chatted with Hustwit about Rams, design, filmmaking and crowdfunding projects.
